Background and Objectives

Swisscom is the leading telecommunications company in Switzerland. The digitalisation together with changing customer needs and new providers with disruptive business models are leading to a rapidly and constantly changing environment. Considering those dynamics, the main objective was the objective and systematic observation and analysis of the job profiles of employees with sales and consulting tasks in the Swisscom shops throughout Switzerland.

Approach

Based on a representative quota sample of 25 shops throughout Switzerland, selected employees were accompanied for a total of 130 hours, whereby their activities were systematically recorded. The data obtained through the field observation was evaluated in a consolidated manner and processed in a recipient-friendly way.
